Some examples are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-1-color\">Physical<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pushing, hitting, strangling, kicking, biting, cutting, burning, spitting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holding you down or preventing you from leaving\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damaging property (throwing objects, punching walls, kicking doors)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Destroying things that you care about<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Throwing objects at you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using\u00a0a weapon against you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Locking you in or out of the house,\u00a0garage, car etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abandoning you in various\u00a0places (leaving you at a store, on the side of\u00a0the road, in the middle of nowhere)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taking away your car keys,\u00a0money, identification information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limiting your access to the car or the phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preventing you from getting sleep or waking you up out of sleep<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depriving you of needed medications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refusing to help when you are sick, injured or pregnant<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Endangering you by driving wildly or recklessly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preventing you from calling police or seeking medical attention<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hurting your children when he\/she\u00a0is angry at you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hurting your pets to get at you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Murder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-1-color\">Psychological (Emotional, Verbal, Mental)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ignoring your feelings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yelling and screaming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making all the decisions, even telling you what to wear and what you can eat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making unreasonable demands for your attention<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manipulating and\/or confusing you with lies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Crazy Making&#8221; causing you to doubt yourself, your thoughts, your behaviors, and your own sense of reality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accusing you of being unfaithful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refusing to take you places<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Isolating you from your friends and family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calling you names,\u00a0insulting you, making you think you are crazy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constantly criticizing,\u00a0ridiculing, humiliating or belittling you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constantly harassing you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embarrassing or demeaning you in front of others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making fun of your friends and family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invading your privacy by opening your mail, reading your emails, or going through your personal belongings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening you to gain compliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening to leave you or making you leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening to hurt you, your children, family\/friends, or pets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening to destroy things you care about<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening to take away your children if you leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening to harm himself\/herself when upset with you or you attempt to leave<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is\u00a0jealous and possessive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring or demanding an account of your daily activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does not want you to work or go to school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gets angry for no apparent reason<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blaming you for his\/her violent outbursts or problems in the relationship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blaming his\/her behavior on alcohol, drugs or his\/her own history of abuse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pressuring you to use alcohol or other drugs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manipulating you with the constant threat of mood changes and impending rage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has you \u201cwalking on eggshells\u201d or living with constant stress, anxiety or fear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seems like two different people \u2013 one is charming or loving, the other is mean and hurtful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using your religious or spiritual beliefs to manipulate you<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preventing you from practicing your religious beliefs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ridiculing your religious or spiritual beliefs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forcing the children to be reared in a faith that you have not agreed to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-1-color\">Economic (financial)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Refusing to give you money for food or clothing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making you ask for money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forcing you to hand over money that you earn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making you spend all your own money while he\/she doesn&#8217;t spend his\/hers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stealing your money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refusing to support your children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not letting you have access to a checking account or credit cards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not letting you be involved in making decisions about money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refusing to let you work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forging your signature on financial documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jeopardizing your employment by such tactics as excessive calls to work;
